LED Red Light Therapy Mask Comparison - Best, Cheapest, Price, Specs

*All FDA Cleared

When you're picking out an LED light therapy mask, it's like choosing a new best friend for your skincare routine. You'll want to keep an eye on a few simple things to make sure it's a good fit:

Wavelengths - Colors of Light

You might see masks out there with a whole rainbow of colors, and you could think more is better. But that's not really the case. If a mask uses colors that your skin can't really use and does not have a high enough radiance to penetrate the skin, then that energy isn't helping you much. It's best to stick to the wavelengths that are known to be effective for your skin concerns and have evidence-based wavelength benefits. Less expensive masks may have a rainbow of colors but usually never near-infrared (830nm)

The three wavelengths of light that have demonstrated several therapeutic applications are blue (415nm), red (633nm), and near-infrared (830nm) Ablon, 2018; Gavish & Houreld, 2019; Kim & Calderhead, 2011; Jagdeo et al., 2018; Sawhney & Hamblin, 2016; Woodruff et al., 2004; Zheng et al., 2020)

LED Count - Numbers Matter! The more LEDs, the better! More lights in your mask mean your face gets an even spread of all that good light, making sure every bit of your skin gets some love.

Price: Everyone's got a budget, and these masks come with all sorts of price tags. Think about what you're getting for the price to decide which mask gives you the best bang for your buck. A higher price might mean more features, but only you can decide what's worth it for your skincare needs.
